God Restoring Grace

How many times have we heard… “God wants to restore…” ? However that sometimes brings up all kinds of questions and possibly feelings of not being worthy of restoration. Nothing could be further from the truth. In Psalm 23 it says “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:…” Love is the reason He wants to restore us. John 3:16 reads “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God doesn’t say, “I will love you if you are – good – perfect – handsome or holy.” He doesn’t say, “I will love you because you are intelligent – gorgeous or gracious.” He just says, “I love you and that’s it – period!” Some of you need to repeat this phrase daily.

Some of you need to say this phrase over and over again. What is the phrase? It is: “God will never stop loving me.” God will never stop loving me because I am a recipient of His Restoring Grace. I know I sure felt that I was unworthy of His love, which is unconditional, because of the life I had led of divorce and brokenness which I talk about in my book “This Restored Heart”.

But He has welcomed me back and is restoring me in ways I never thought possible. Throughout this blog for July we will discuss those ways. I’d like to hear your thoughts and fears about restoration in your lives. Also, I’d love to hear any stories you have of restoration in your lives!
